Trying to manage your mental health on your own can leave you feeling frustrated and stuck. One of my skills as a psychologist is knowing how to best support you to grow a deeper understanding of yourself. Once you know what motivates your emotions and behaviours, you can develop a strategy to manage them.
Hello, I'm Elica Najdenska - Registered Psychologist
As your psychologist, I do everything possible to help you feel relaxed, comfortable and supported during our time together. My person-centred approach to your therapy means I listen to you without judgement, and we work at a pace that suits you.
I gently explore your unique life experiences to gain an understanding of your situation so I can complete your tailored assessment. Then we work together to find the most practical and effective treatment for you, whether you’re here for short-term or long-term support.
My experience and expertise
My experience includes working with adults, adolescents and children. I treat a range of mental health conditions such as:
Some of the evidence-based therapies I use are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Family Therapy, and Social-Emotional Skills teaching. You can rely on me to talk to you about the suitability of these therapies for you, your lifestyle and your treatment goals.
I speak fluent English and Macedonian and can also communicate in Serbian and Croatian. I am Medicare and SIRA registered, and provide therapy sessions face-to-face in Kogarah, or via Telehealth (Zoom or phone).
